About ME :)

Howdy… Robt. Walker typing here… ummm lemme think how to go about this. Oh hell, I’ll just take a leap and go from there. Or is it this and that? Well ya know how we deafies always doing that.. yeah THAT.. (four fingers held out and dominant fingers dancing from top to bottom.. THAT). So many things to talk about and to touch on that the list is literally endless. It’s kind of like art - the possibilities are infinite.
To start with, I am from Little Rock, AR- my hometown and I am a graduate of Gallaudet University (circa 2002). Having grown up in a hearing family, and an immersion in both deaf and hearing schools, working in the public venue and my primary interests taking place in the hearing world - I like to think I have a fairly good understanding of both ’sides’. Being bilingual has made me even more of a fence sitter, leaning over one way or other - and sometimes falling off!
Let’s see… my interests include studio art - I come from a family of artists with one sister as an nationally recognized artist, one niece who is a musican and songwriter, and another niece who is an former international model and now considers herself a producer in the movie industry with her actor husband - oh and my mother doodles on a scratch pad while on the phone. :). As it is, I grew up exposed to the arts and now spend my days in my studio working with acrylics, watercolors and clay sculptures. My other interests also falls into horses, books, DVD movies, Boston Terriers and Bengals (the cat.. not the tiger). I am a coffee fiend - anyone care to join me for a cup?
That’s about it in a nutshell for the present - there are other sides to me and will bring them up when time permits.
So - come on in and look around - I’m just getting started on this thingie (chuckles).

Hey Robert:
Wanted to touch base and let you know about http://www.raiseyourhand.info/, which launched today just in time for National Better Hearing and Speech Month. The site is focused on hearing loss, and how to take control of your hearing health.
As you continue to write your blog, I hope that you might find some good info from the site. Let me know if there’s anything I can get for you, or if you have any questions.
You should leave some ways of contacting you here on your blog
Do you have a gallery up anywhere online? If you could contact me privately, I’d be interested in asking some questions.
Hello Robert!
